I’ve been seeing more roles start to open up again across UXR, and I wanted to bring you this month’s roundup.

As always, every role here comes from teams I trust or was shared directly through my network, so you’re looking at real opportunities that are actively hiring right now.

As you go through this, I want you to look at it a little differently. Not just as a list of jobs to apply to, but as a way to understand what teams are actually looking for right now.

Because the patterns across these roles will tell you a lot about how to position yourself moving forward.

🌱 Early Career (Entry-Level/Junior Roles):

  • Research Intern, Office of the Chief Scientific Officer at Microsoft​
  • UX Researcher, Quantitative Analysis at Roku ​

If you’re early in your career, it’s easy to get caught up in trying to meet every requirement. But what these roles are really looking for is potential.

Pay attention to how they talk about learning, collaboration, and contribution.

Then ask yourself: Can I clearly show how I’ve supported a project or team, even if it wasn’t a formal UXR role?

That’s what helps you stand out here.


🎯 Mid to Senior Level Roles:

This is where expectations start to shift. It’s not just about doing good research anymore. It’s about showing how your work drives decisions.

As you review these roles, look for how teams talk about:

Influence, Impact and Cross-functional partnership

Then reflect on your own experience. If someone asked you, “What changed because of your research?”

Would your answer feel clear and specific?

That’s the gap most people need to close at this level.

They’re looking for researchers who can:
• Define problems
• Influence direction
• Connect research to business outcomes

As you go through these roles, pay attention to how often strategy and leadership show up in the language. That’s the bar.
